Join Us for Adult Instruction Class!

We invite all prospective, new, and long-time members of St. John to join us on Sunday, February 10th after our Divine Service for our first Adult Instruction Class. All are welcome, whether inquiring and curious, or life-long and seasoned.

Your faith, your life as a Christian, and our life together as Christ's church are essentially interconnected. Our time could go by many names: Faith Formation, Christian Initiation, New Member Class, or Information Class. But probably the oldest name is the Catechumenate, that is, the time while one is receiving instruction in the chief articles of the Christian faith towards being received into the congregation's fellowship.

If it sounds serious, that's because it is! Christ Jesus is the one who stands in the breach between life and death. Using the Luther's Small Catechism as our guide, we'll explore the faith as it is given to us by Jesus and confessed by our fellowship. Learn what you believe, how you express it, and why you believe it.
